Blogger Perspective:

Located in the mid-sized Midwest city of Cedar Rapids, IA, Coe has been a stalwart team in 30-40 range in the ITA rankings for many years, thanks in large part to the program’s ability to develop players. While most team members come in as one or two-stars with only the occasional three-star, Coe consistently overachieves in comparison to the talent they are bringing in. All American Noah Sprinkel, Class of 2015, is perhaps the best example of how the Coe program can be a great fit for players, giving them the chance to make great strides during their four years. Access to indoor and outdoors courts year-round gives team members the chance to play as much as they want, and with the team’s strong work ethic both in and out of season, it’s no wonder that the Kohawks are well-known for their development of players.

While Coe is far and away the strongest team in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, they play a strong out-of-conference schedule featuring many of the top teams in the Central Region as well as some out of region opponents during the spring break trip. The bulk of Coe’s recruits come regionally from the Midwest, but with great facilities, a highly regarded and experienced coach, and a track record of exceptional player development, Coe is a particularly good option for hard working players who may not have the highest junior rankings but are looking to truly maximize their potential in college. The strong development of the tennis program is coupled with a regionally-respected liberal arts college that is a great fit for students from the Midwest looking for a small and intimate campus.
