Van Zee’s Vault: Podcast: Emory’s John Browning

As the regular season winds down and conference tournaments are being played, the national tournament is on the minds of coaches across the country. Whether or not you can lock up a bid via Pool A by winning your tournament or sweat out the Pool B and Pool C selections, receiving that invitation is the culmination of a team’s hard work. One of those teams who has already received their bid and are always in the national championship conversation is the Emory Eagles. For today’s podcast, I was very fortunate to talk with Emory’s head coach John Browning. Coach Browning has had an enormous amount of success during his tenure and looks to be in the conversation at the end of the year to add another trophy to his mantle. I will admit that after speaking with him, I found myself becoming an Emory fan and look forward to seeing their success in a couple of weeks. I cannot say it enough, D3 tennis coaches just get it. They understand how important they are in the student athlete’s lives and are able to create a positive learning environment.

Check out my last podcast below. My next post next week will likely be a breakdown of the bracket alongside D3West. Should be a great one.
