IT’S THE SEMIFINALS!!!! At this point you know what has happened so I won’t give you the typical play by play. What I will tell you is that the Kentucky Derby called us to discuss disqualifications and took a page out of our book. If you lost money, I am sorry. If you won money, you can donate to us here. Voting will be open until 8PM EST on Tuesday, so make sure you push your favorite through! Let’s get to the matchups!
Lola/Bumpa (L&C) vs. #4 Bean (Hamilton)
Team double trouble represents the true underdog story, coming in from the play in round, upsetting the #1 seed and then continuing to build off their momentum securing a spot in the semifinals! The UMBC Retrievers would be proud. On the other side, Bean emerged as an early favorite with emergency press conferences and the rallying of the Hamilton athletic department. So much of a favorite that #DogGate happened and we had to disqualify a team that tried to engineer their way to a victory. This should be a great semifinal matchup and I am very excited.

Wicket (Pomona-Pitzer W) vs. Reggie (Kenyon M)
These two unseeded pups have been licking faces and taking names on their way to this matchup in the semifinals. Both have incredible social media games, shoutout to @sagehenwtennis and @KenyonMTEN. If you love dog pictures, videos and throwing shade at the competition, you should definitely check those pages out. I am anticipating a very close one in this semifinal in this battle of the little buddy vs. the big buddy. I couldn’t try to predict a winner if I tried, but what I do know is that both are winners in our hearts here at the blog.
