It’s indoors week this week so what better time to release the first Podcast of 2018?!? We always want to start the year off right and what better way to do that than to talk with one of the best coaches in D3. Coach Paul Settles joins me to talk about his team, the program, and their decision to attend National Indoors this year. As always, I enjoy talking with every coach, but admire Coach Settles with how he handles his program and the success he has had. Hope you all enjoy!
Thanks for the podcast. Can Coach Settles confirm whether CMS will offer live video for home matches during the season (he alluded to video for end-of-year nationals)? At present, the CMS schedule provides links to live scoring, but no video link.
On a separate note, Coach Settles is always well-spoken and gracious (while also opinionated.) I did find it amusing, though, that he critiqued Gustavus’s longstanding habit of scheduling 2 back-draw matches on Saturday, when Settles himself hosts a tournament each year that requires teams to do similarly–and in California heat. I suppose the difference is that CMS has never used just 3 courts per match?
