Welcome back for year 3 of our bracket challenge! As in past years, you’ll have to pick round by round (follow the instructions below) until you have a tournament champion, and points double with every successive round. As always, the winner will get an interview with one of the bloggers (probably me), but we’re also hoping to have an extra prize for the winner this year! There will be brackets for the individual tournaments as well, but they won’t be posted until the draws come out (usually closer to the Individuals start date, May 26th). The deadline to enter is Thursday morning at 11am (eastern), right as the first match begins (Yeshiva vs Goucher). If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me (D3Northeast@gmail.com), or just post in the comments section. The entire process really shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes (other than the amount of time you waste pondering your picks!)

HOW TO MAKE A BRACKET

1) Click on the link above.

2) Click on the link for “Team Tournament” (after which you should see the draw).

3) Click the “Predict It” link, in the top left corner of the draw.

4) You do have to register with the site, but it’s completely free and in 3 years I have not gotten one email from them.

4a) Enter your name and REAL email. This is important. The name doesn’t have to be real, but the email does because you will get a confirmation link.

4b) Get your new password emailed to you (this is instantaneous).

4c) Enter your new password with your email into the site (after which you should be taken back to the draw).

5) Pick your 1st round matches! You pick a winner by clicking the bubble next to a team’s name. You do not need to do anything with the teams that have byes, as the bracket automatically advances them.  You can enter scores into the text box that appears in each match section.  These are not necessary, but a fun way to distinguish yourself from the competition.

6) After picking all 11 1st round matches, click enter at the bottom of the page (after which you should be taken to all 2nd round matchups). PLEASE NOTE ALL MATCHES WILL BE LOCKED IN AFTER PRESSING ENTER. IF YOU WISH TO CHANGE YOUR PREDICTIONS, YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE YOUR BRACKET AND START OVER (at the bottom left of the page).

7) Pick all 16 2nd round matches.

8) Press enter at the bottom of the page to be presented with 3rd round matchups.

9) Continue picking and hitting enter at the end of each round until you have picked a winner!!!

10) Have fun, and good luck to everybody! Remember, the deadline is Thursday morning at 11am! If we get over 100 brackets, there is a rumor that a blogger might just reveal him or herself to the public…
