This is a friendly reminder to always save your work, especially when working in a terrible website like WordPress. In my effort to post Men’s and Women’s Power Rankings at the same time, I got the Men’s Power Rankings erased. Since I am upset and have other work to do, I will not be providing commentary for the Power Rankings. Here are some Latest Results and the Full Power Rankings the blogging team vehemently discussed via google doc yesterday. Yay!

I had great commentary about Movers and Shakers but now I am sleepy and upset that WordPress erased it. Do your worst in the comments! ASouth, OUT.
Who has Midd beaten besides Emory? Man, D3 Central and D3Regional are real big on Midd and low on Amherst.
Really fond of your consistent articles, D3AtlanticSouth and D3Northeast. Keep up the good work!
Agreed. Amherst has notched wins over CMU, Hopkins, WashU, and Bowdoin. Middlebury hasn’t shown much other than the win over Emory. Having said that, the bloggers do have Amherst at 3 and Middlebury at 5 on the overall rankings.
I, for one, am not quite sure what sort of mind-altering substances may have influence my colleagues
Pretty suspect to have Pomona still sitting at No. 2. I know they have direct wins over Amherst, Midd, and Trinity, but all those wins came within the friendly confines of the “Hen House”. Furthermore, the wins against Amherst/Midd came with both teams still struggling to adjust to outdoor tennis, and the win against Trinity came against an exhausted team.
At a neutral location, I would think Amherst, Midd, and Trinity would be significant favorites over Pomona. I know Pomona gets a lot of love on the blog, but come on. (I realize PP didn’t have Yasgoor against Redlands but still).
I guess that’s one reason why I’d love to see PP shipped out of the California region for NCAAs. Would be very interested to see how they respond in a road environment.
Whether at home or not, beating all of Amherst, Midd, and Trinity is a pretty damn good feat. The other three teams you mention are good and obviously can beat Pomona on the right day. But, a season should be rewarded. Also, I don’t have Pomona at #2 🙂
D3AS- I’m new to this website, but is Brandeis not ranked in the list of 42 schools, or is was this just an error because other writers have them around top 30? Thank You
Great catch, this was an error – I’d place them at about 29. which would bring their total Power Ranking to 29 as well!
Can you guys justify your logic for having Cruz above Trinity CT, Stevens, and Whitewater? Their best win is Cal Lutheran and they have a direct loss to UT Tyler.
I personally discounted the loss to UT-Tyler because it was on the Whitman Indoor courts in early March. This is a team that has looked better since then despite not really picking up any big wins. This is why I have them ahead of Trinity CT and Whitewater. As for Stevens, I can’t tell you. I’m at a loss for words.
I tend to agree with D3AS. Cruz has looked much better recently than the beginning of the year. I have Trinity above all three because they don’t have any bad losses. Stevens’ loss to Denison is what originally kept them below Cruz, but considering the injury to Foran I will seriously look at moving them up next week. Thanks for the question, always good to keep us on our toes!
