One thing that Indoor Nationals brings that you probably forgot is the return of our weekly power rankings. The five bloggers have come together to once again take all the latest results and give you some rankings that are probably more reliable than the ITA rankings (#sorrynotsorry). We have a lot of big changes due to some crazy matches in the past few days, so please feel free to make your comments and whatnot below. Always up for a debate on some of the placing of the teams. What would a blog be without readers, after all! Anyways, see below for our newly minted rankings.

Notable Movers:
#8 Kenyon, +10 Spots – Kenyon made waves this weekend with a 5th place finish, beating two top 10 teams in the process and going 5-4 with a Wash U team currently ranked #5 in our rankings. Kenyon has really surprised this year with the emergence of Turlington as a solid #3 and notable contributions from the bottom of their lineup. They solidified their place in the top 10 this weekend and I doubt they will be knocked out unless one of these mid-range teams really steps up their game. Right now, I just don’t see that coming.
#14 Bates, +9 Spots – Crazy what one win can do for you when you’re a 20s team. Bates was previously #23 in our power rankings, but took down PP on their home courts in what was a thrilling battle. Normally, Bates performs poorly on their spring break, but this one notched them two nice wins and an almost double digit rise in the rankings. Our team is particularly excited about their new freshmen, who really stepped up this week and were named co-players of the week. We’ll see if Bates can keep this up (I must say I’m semi-skeptical) throughout the season.
#16 Pomona Pitzer, -7 Spots – With every rise, there must be a fall. And Pomona-Pitzer is the team that takes the beating this round of power rankings. With their loss to Bates, they move down to #16. What surprised me was that this team should have been prepared for Bates on their home courts. Bates was essentially playing for like the third official time this year, which is a tough situation to go to the Hens courts and take down a top team. Definitely a disappointing performance from Pomona, but this is a team that gets better as the year goes on. I expect them to rise back up to the #13-15 range.
Others to Note – #26 UW-Whitewater, #29 Denison, #34 McMurry, #39 Pacific, #42 George Fox
As a reminder to all, these are pure power rankings – they are not what we believe the next rankings will be. From our observations and analysis, we are essentially trying to say who we’d take over the next guy. Please feel free to leave comments below. Also, we are one week from our POTM shirt giveaway! Oh and also, I will have my Indoor recaps out by tonight or tomorrow morning. Apologies to all for the delay, some things have come up the past couple of days.
ASouth, OUT.
Go LORDS!!!!!
I like where your head is at D3 West
Turlington also has my vote for the sportsmanship award at the indoor national.
S/O to D3 Central for giving Coe a bit of love
