This Week in Highlights! Edition 1!

Hey y’all, back in the winter the esteemed writers of the Blog imagined a new weekly concept designed to keep things fun for the readers of the blog, the bloggers themselves, and of course, the players.  When I was growing up as a kid, one of my favorite things to watch was the Top 10 (or Not top 10) on Sportscenter. Seriously, I would watch the whole segment over again for an our just to see the sweet highlights. People love the highlights almost as much as they love the coco. This year on the blog, WE will bring you the highlights from across the DIII World for you to enjoy.  Whether it be clinching points, tweener winners, or just a friendly game of A-S-S in practice, we want to see em.  Let’s connect this community through video. And I’m not talking chatroulette.

This article is very straight forward.  I post a highlight, you get recognition, and the audience gets some entertainment.  Here’s how to do it:

How to Submit

Tweet a video at me or @d3_tree

Email me at d3atlanticsouth@gmail.com or D3Tree at division3tree@gmail.com

Find some other way to get me a video that is shareable on the site.

OK ENOUGH TALKING WE WANT HIGHLIGHTS.

THIS MONTH IN HIGHLIGHTS

Since this is the first time we’re doing this, we compiled a few videos from the past month to put in our first feature! We expect more and more to come in – c’mon, we know you want to be famous.

Let’s start the first Highlight post with the clinching point between Kenny Zheng and Rajupet of Case at Indoor Nationals just this past weekend. That backhand down the line tho…

Yo that thing is a work of art.  I would have liked to see more emotion though.

Here’s another clincher, this time from Vassar over Rochester.  Vassar was down 4-0 and came back to beat Rochester ON AN OVERRULE. This is all to make you forget that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in last years NBA Finals. By the way, these courts look like we’re ice skating.

In the spirit of clinchers, here’s Concordia clinching a match over McMurray some time in the past month.

ANOTHER CLINCHER? Here’s Kalamazoo clinching their first top 20 win over Kenyon since we were in the 5th grade.

Okay, that’s enough clinchers.  Let’s get some practice footage.  Here’s UW-Whitewater Tennis working hard and practicing their service targets. I don’t know who was on the serving end and receiving end of this, but I would love to know. Someone tell me!  Ouchtown, USA

Kidding, we don’t have enough clinchers. Here’s Millikin clinching over Cornell College after being down by a lot in a super breaker.

Lastly, here’s Coe’s Brady Anderson clinching Coe’s only win with really poor video footage.  Not sure why I included this but I’m on a roll and no one can stop me.  By the way, that’s my youtube channel! I can upload all your videos.

Aaaand there you have it.  Shoutout to D3Tree for working on this with me. KILLIN IT. Remember, keep those submissions coming. Tweet them at @d3_tree or myself and we will get them on the site for some free publicity. Emory kids, I want videos of mini tennis practices against Rafe Mosetick. W&L, I want winners against Jordan Krasner. Coach Hale of NCW, I want videos of your kids killing it in International Studies classes. Send em all, baby.  ASouth, OUT.
