Power Rankings, 3/30

Yes, I know the date up there says 3/30. I got extremely busy with my day job yesterday, and was unable to post these Power Rankings. However, you were able to get the ITA Rankings, which you can find using the link at the top left of the site. As I listen to Ultra Music Festival sets right now, Afrojack (who is terrible) is playing a remix of Power by Kanye West. Fitting. Because it seems to me that no one committee should have all that power. This week’s theme in Power Rankings will be the main differences between our Power Rankings and the ITA Rankings. There’s a reason why we use our own rankings in our articles. They aren’t misleading and to be quite honest, they aren’t biased. I’ll point out some things below, but please make the judgement for yourself. Without further hesitation, here are your 3/30 Power Rankings, brought to you by the unbiased blog.

Tell us how you really feel, ASouth.

Well, I’m sleepy and retweeting Middlebury Men’s Tennis. ASouth, OUT.

What will it take for RPI to get back in, how do they match up vs Stevens and MIT?

That loss to Ithaca really hurts, but a win over MIT would definitely get them in the power rankings. Given comparative results, however, the Engineers will really have to step it up to get a win over the Engineers

I’m actually going to disagree with West and say that the Engineers won’t need to step it up too much to win, and if they just maintain their current level or even have a somewhat not great day, they will still win. Kidding aside, MIT will be the favorite in that one, but I still think RPI has the talent to play at a much higher level than they have so far. I wouldn’t bet on RPI winning this match, though. Stevens is another story, and I expect it to be a good battle. As of now I’m leaning RPI, but a win there won’t get them back into the Power Rankings, at least in my eyes. RPI’s best shot at getting back into the rankings is going to be to beat Skidmore in the Liberty League finals (if they get there). It’s a tall task, but probably more likely than beating MIT.
