Felix Sun (Williams)
The Northeast region had a busy weekend, and I tried to find a player more deserving than Sun–I really did–, but I couldn’t. Rattenhuber screwed it up by losing in doubles to Colby, and Planche only played one good match. Sun, however, was as dominant as ever for the Purple Cows in three matches against ranked opponents. Sun and Micheli won their #2 doubles matches against #22 Skidmore, #24 Trinity CT, and #7 Middlebury with relative ease (8-2, 8-3, and 8-3 respectively). Sun was similarly dominant in singles, beating Skidmore’s Luke Granger 6-2, 6-2; Trinity’s Kayong Lee 6-4, 6-2; and 37th-ranked Alec Parower of Middlebury 6-1, 6-0.
