Hey All,

So for the most part, the comments have been really good. There’s a little bit of animosity in some of the veiled trash talk, but there’s nothing wrong with a little competitive fire as long as there aren’t any personal insults (which there haven’t been any that I’ve seen).

Some people, however, have been leaving comments under multiple names. This site isn’t meant to be a propaganda engine for specific teams or players, so please stop writing comments under one name and then saying how insightful that comment was under another name. Even if you leave the comment anonymously, I can see the IP address it was sent from, so I know that at least three players are doing this. I thought it was really funny that people would anonymously give themselves praise, at first, but it’s gotten a little ridiculous. I would have liked to send individual e-mails, but you people didn’t leave me you e-mail address.

For those three players and anyone who has done this: I don’t want to prevent you from enjoying the blog, and I generally appreciate your contributions. BUT if this continues, I’m going to have to block your IP addresses, making it impossible to leave comments that laptop or cell phone.

That’s it.

Cheers.

3-0 stags against Redlands, in case anyone was interested. Freshmen duo win 9-8 at #1 to finish off the “Dawgs” in doubles.

I like to make suggestions for future articles I’d like to read.

One different suggestion is to list, before the season ends and without you doing a lot of research, who you regard as the top three players at each singles slot. The same could be done for the three doubles slots, but that would probably be too much work.

For instance, in singles, from what I’ve read on this blog, Sun from Williams could be the top #2 singles player, while Worley could be the top #3 singles player. I have a suggestion for the top #6 singles slot, but I’ll withhold it for now. Doing something like this would help give recognition to guys playing in the bottom half of the singles lineup, who nobody ever writes about.

I’m planning on doing all-region teams by positions after the season is over, and I have a feeling you’re thinking about Borshansky from Whitman as the best #6 because you’re a Whitman parent, but he certainly has been great for them.

Don’t forget I’ve also suggested a Pool B prognostication (I’m particularly interested to see if we can expect the six team Liberty League getting three teams into the NCAA’s again, with two ranked outside the top 30), and also it would be fun to see the names of the teams that have qualified under Pool A (or you expect to qualify in that pool).

While you write a great column, along with the Division3 guy, the same names keep appearing over and over again, with a very occasional new name (such as, I believe, Franklin & Marshall). It’s time for some other schools to their names in the sun, and anything you can say about them in terms of their NCAA chances in surviving a round or two would be a breath of fresh air. There must be some decent teams who would get a national ranking from, say, 31 to 40 if those rankings extended down that far.
